I am Monica and I am in love with Samothraki.
I first traveled to the island several years ago, after other journeys through Greece, and my heart was forever bound to this place. I've constantly returned, slowly discovering its beaten and less-beaten paths, its history, and its people. Some of them I call friends and some have even become my travel companions for (other) journeys. My love of the island even emboldened me to learn Greek. It's no easy feat - I'm still learning it… :)
So, why create this site? For starters, because when I first discovered Samothraki very little information was available, and I would've liked to be able to learn more.
On the other hand, I believe that Samothraki is a journey of discovery - of the island and of one's self, so I'm not going to write here about all the things I've seen and lived there. I encourage you to also discover its places and people on your own, beyond the general information you'll find online.
